Connecting and configuring EasyViewer allows you to monitor your security cameras in real time from your mobile device. EasyViewer is a mobile surveillance application designed to link seamlessly with Digital Video Recorders (DVRs), Network Video Recorders (NVRs), and IP cameras.

This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough to download, connect, and optimize your EasyViewer application for stable live surveillance. Prerequisites Before Setup

Ensure you have the following information and hardware ready before starting the configuration: A smartphone or tablet connected to the internet.

The IP address, Domain Name, or P2P Serial Number (SN) of your recording device. The network port number (typically the TCP or Media Port).

The administrator username and password for your camera system. Step 1: Download and Install the App

The application is available for both Android and iOS platforms.

Open the Google Play Store or Apple App Store on your mobile device.

Search for EasyViewer (or specific variants like EasyViewer Lite or EasyViewer Plus depending on your device brand).

Tap Install and open the application once the download completes.

Accept the necessary permissions, including storage and network access, to allow the app to save snapshots and stream video. Step 2: Add Your Surveillance Device

You must link your recorder or individual IP cameras to the app interface.

Launch EasyViewer and tap the Menu icon (three lines) in the top-left corner. Select Device Manager or Device List. Tap the Add or + icon in the top-right corner. Choose your connection method:

P2P/Cloud: The easiest method. Scan the QR code located on your DVR/NVR chassis or within its system network menu.

IP/Domain: Best for local Wi-Fi viewing or setups with a static IP. Enter your system’s public IP address or DDNS domain name.

Enter a Device Name (e.g., “Home”, “Office”) to easily identify the system.

Input the Port, Username, and Password associated with your recorder. Tap Save or Start Live Preview. Step 3: Configure Live View Settings

Optimizing your stream settings ensures smooth playback and balances data consumption.

Stream Type Configuration: EasyViewer offers two streaming modes. Select Main Stream when connected to high-speed Wi-Fi for maximum high-definition (HD) clarity. Switch to Sub Stream when using mobile data or weak Wi-Fi networks to prevent lagging and buffering.

Window Segmentation: Tap the grid icons at the bottom of the live view screen to change your viewing layout. You can display 1, 4, 9, or 16 camera feeds simultaneously.

Channel Customisation: Drag and drop individual camera channels into your preferred grid slots to organize your view by priority areas, such as entryways or cash registers. Step 4: Enable Advanced Features

To get the most out of your live surveillance setup, configure these built-in tools:

Push Notifications: Navigate to the app settings and enable alarm push notifications. This alerts your phone instantly when your camera system detects motion or tampering.

PTZ Control: If you use Pan-Tilt-Zoom cameras, tap the PTZ icon on the live view screen. Use the on-screen directional arrows or pinch-to-zoom gestures to control the camera lens remotely.

Audio Streaming: For cameras equipped with microphones or two-way audio, tap the speaker icon to listen to live audio, or hold the microphone icon to transmit your voice to the camera location. Troubleshooting Common Connection Issues

If you encounter a “Connection Failed” or “Timeout” error, check the following common failure points:

Verify Credentials: Double-check that your device password and port numbers are entered correctly.

Network Status: Ensure the DVR/NVR is physically connected to your internet router via an Ethernet cable and that the status shows “Online” in the system menu.

Firewall Settings: If you are using an IP/Domain setup outside your local network, ensure port forwarding is correctly configured on your internet router.
